Name: De-va (pronounced like Diva) Nescent
Age: 248 (looks to be in early twenties)
Gender: Female
Orientation: Straight
Moral Alignment: Neutral
Mother’s Demon Type: Phoenix
Father’s Demon Type: Fire
Occupation: Southern Lady (if possible)
Alignment: South
Appearance: Light brown hair that’s kept in a high pony tail, and even with the demoness being at five feet and six inches, her tresses still reach just a couple of inches above the floor, and are even longer when her hair is let down. She has baby blue eyes, which tend to stand out against her pale skin and contrasts against her brown hair and with the pink eye make-up she wears around her eyes, her bright blue eyes always tend to get noticed first.
De-va is the lady of the southern lands, therefore, her clothes are always made of the finest materials. Her blood red dress is thicker than your normal cotton, it’s a heavy material and so, it slows her movements but not drastically. It’s a long dress that flares at her waist as to provide as much movement as possible. The sleeves of her dress are different, one being a long sleeve and the other a thin strap. Over the top part of her dress, she wears a black top that has a high collar and uneven sleeves, the shorter sleeve over the long sleeve of her dress and the long sleeve over the arm with the thin strap.
She’ll often go without the black top when inside her castle walls, wearing her hair down. But when she’s out patrolling the land and fighting she wears it with her hair up.
True form | Human Appearance
(When in her true form, she's slightly larger than Sesshomaru's true apperance due to the spand of her wings and tail.)
(De-va is my own character. I drew and colored her. And I would apperciate it if nobody would steal her unless I said you could use her. Thank you.)
Personality: She doesn’t choose sides. Simply watches and waits, not helping anyone until it involves her safety. De-va isn’t evil, but she’s isn’t exactly good either. She usually does whatever benefits her at the time. It’s of little interest to her if it affects others positively or negatively—she simply doesn’t care. She doesn’t get involved into situations that aren’t her business. De-va usually won’t lift a single finger to help unless the person asks her personally, and if a person does, she’ll fix the problem her way. She will not look twice at things that aren’t important to her. Before coming to a decision, she'll look at the options from all point of views to see which one will eventually help her out before making her choice.
She also isn’t a person that goes out looking for trouble. De-va tends to hide herself in the shadows, generally keeping a low profile by staying away from public events or fairly well known places. Most people see her as stoic or detached of her emotions, but that’s not particularly true. She really only uses that cold exterior to keep people away from her—too afraid to get attached to someone. Though, if someone were to approach, despite her posture or looks, she won’t stop them from trying to get to know her—but, even she has a sense of privacy and only reveals limited information.
She’s an intelligent woman, and living for as long as she has, she does hold wisdom and maturity that might scare off a few people.
She has manners and is polite to those who respect her or show her the same kindness. She doesn’t double cross anyone, and those who trust her will find that it’s pointless to second guess her loyalty. De-va always keeps her word, and doesn’t like being lied to or stood up. She’s also nuts about being on time to everything because she doesn’t like to keep people waiting, and in return she expects the same treatment.
She's generally calm and relaxed. De-va's thoughtful in all ways possible, and she does have the tendency to speak in riddles. At times it may seem like she doesn't care, but it's just a front she puts on, protecting her lands from a weak point, she is willing to live in loneliness so long as her people are happy. Although she may not be exactly friendly upon first meeting, she does have a listening ear if you prove to her that what you need to talk about is important.
"Adopt the pace of nature, her secret is patience."
Strengths: -The Sun the hotter it is outside, the stronger she becomes.
- Because of her father being a fire demon and not of the phoenix lineage, De-va is immune to time unlike the previous phoenix before her.
-Clever and cunning, De-va is able to read a person after a few observations of their actions. She’s also able to create plenty of strategies while fighting within seconds and can pull them off flawlessly.
-Although De-va is one of the very few phoenix demons remaining, she isn’t bias and judges people by the way they play their cards, not by what they were given.
-Vigilant, De-va is quick to sense danger or when something is amiss and is quick to correspond.
Weaknesses: -Although De-va is one tough cookie to get angered, once it’s in her it can be as hot as fire and can be as equally hard to put out. When angered, her vision between what’s good and bad tends to get blurred and is more than likely to get manipulated.
-Her land and those who take up homes in her land. She’s very protective of her responsibilities. If something is threatening her land or the people who live on it, she’ll take care of the threat herself and won't consult any of her advisors before doing so.
-Cold areas. Areas with water are little threats to her (as even she can’t survive without it), but any cold areas can make it hard for her generate her fire and can leave her at a major disadvantage.
-Men. Although she isn’t one to warm her bed with random males or warm the beds that belong to them, she definitely has a soft spot for them. She can be rather flirtatious with them, even if they’re an enemy.
-Anything holy. Priests and priestesses are major weaknesses to her.
Powers and Abilities
- Immunity. Because of De-va’s fire, her body naturally burns away any toxins, deadly diseases or harmful substances that can harm her body.
-Superhuman strength, because her body is used to heat, it gives her strength that can surpass your ordinary demon. Holding a human by the neck can be as easy as swatting a fly away.
-Flight. Being a phoenix, De-va can naturally fly even in her humanoid form without assistance from her wings.
-Fire. De-va can create and manipulate fire to bend at her will. Because she is a phoenix and her father is a fire demon, the fire she creates is stronger than fire she can manipulate. She can control the heat of the fire making red and orange flames turn blue and green. But the fire she creates is black and can only be put out by purified water.
-Heat resistance. De-va can live in heated areas that most demons cant. Her skin doesn’t burn as easily and because of this, a dull blade can find it impossible to penetrate her flesh.
-heightened sense, like most demons, De-va has heightened senses when compared to lesser demons or that of humans. Her vision is twice as strong as any demon, though, and can see twice as far and wide when compared to ordinary demons.
-Regeneration, De-va heals twice as fast than a half demon or human.
-Fire/smoke breath. When in her true form, De-va can breath fire or smoke.
-Wind. When in her demon form, she can create gusts of wind with her wings that are powerful enough to match the speeds of a huricane.
Weapons:
Weapon 1 – Zerimura, the sword in her bent arm. It has the power to collect her youki and send it out in the form of black blades to attack her opponent.
Weapon 2 – Zenmaru, the sword being held by her unbent arm. It’s her secondary weapon and holds no special abilities but to create spikes on the blade.
Items: Nova, though not really an item... more like a traveling companion... and NPC, if you will. He's a dragon demon without a human apperance. He doesn't have any special powers other than that of heightend senses, the ability to fly, change the size of his body, and to sense auras.
History:
De-va isn’t victim of a troubled, though difficult, past. With her mother being a phoenix, she had burned to ash in order to give birth to her daughter; therefore, De-va never met her mother. Thankfully, her father was fire demon, which was the key that kept De-va from suffering the same fate as her mother, and unlike all the phoenix before her, she doesn’t have an expiration date.
But being raised by her father, you’d imagine that he made as tough as she possibly could be. He never encouraged her explore ‘fun’ or ‘friendship’; he had her training the instant she could lift up a sword without straining. De-va was a lonely child, and she was raised with the words of “eat or be eaten”.
She loved her father, and he did show her compassion, which saved De-va from being an emotionless inflicted demon. Even though she may hide it, she isn't. De-va just drew a thick line between professional and personal. She made little friends growing up, believing (and not encouraged to) that her father was the only person she needed in life.
But when a group of rebel demons started to revolt in the southern lands, imagine her distraught to learn that her father was being sent to handle the situation. She begged him to stay, and he grew furious with her desperate attitude. That day, he slapped his daughter and left her with the words of “you don’t need anyone,” before leaving to battle. Unfortunately, that was the last she had ever heard of her father as he never returned home, but news of the rebel demons being subdued brought her reliefe.
Believing that her father was still alive, De-va left the southern lands temporary to better improve her skills and capabilities. She had thought her father didn’t want to return home because he now saw her as weak the moment she begged him to stay. The phoenix demon didn’t want her father to remain disappointed in her, so she sought out trials in enemy territory. Fighting demons, saving those who benefited her, and making acquaintances across the land, De-va hoped that after years of travelling by herself, words of her actions would somehow reach her father.
Though, one day, while De-va was travelling back to the southern lands, she came across a scorpion demon that had her lord’s head in his hands. She challenged him to a fight to the death, in hopes of avenging her lord’s death. The demoness fought and though she nearly lost her own life in the fight, she came out victorious by a mere scratch.
After this fight, De-va had fallen unconcious. She woke up days later and was being nursed back to health by the dragon demon, Nova. He healed and protected her while she was unconscious and recovering. When she was fully healed and ready to travel, he insisted on following her. De-va rejected his companionship but he followed her despite her several warnings to kill him if he continued to. Eventually, she just got used to him and even began to value his friendship.
She took the demon’s head back with her to the southern lands and tossed it on the table that held the council members while they were in a meeting. They were shocked, unaware that their lord had been killed until this demon had thrown the head of the assassin on the table and held their lord’s head safely in her arms. She said nothing to them, but gently placed the lord’s head on the table and left the room.
After a few weeks of deliberation, the council came to decision. Their previous lord had left no heir behind and had no family left, as he was the lone survivor of his family’s massacre. Therefore, De-va was requested to become to the new Leader as she had shown her loyalty and strength by killing the demon who murdered their lord. De-va only accepted in hopes that her father would hear of her accomplishment and would return home.
Though, after one hundred years of being the Lady of the Southern Lands, her father had yet to return and she just accepted the fact that he was dead. Now, her best intentions are to help her land prevail.
RP Sample:
There was silence, and then there was pain, unspeakable pain that left her immobilized for just a short moment. He had her. Her eyes clenched tightly shut, her lips snarled in pain as her hands wrapped around his that held his sword which, just now, pierced through her torso. Her face contorted in pain, but the woman managed to open her eyes and look her attacker in the face. He had a smug grin, and a glint in his eyes— she hated his face.
Her own blood started to coats their hands as it travelled down the blade, he chuckled, “what a privilege it is to fight a phoenix demon. And what an ego boost it is to know that I killed one of the last remaining.” His laugh increased in volume and De-va began to dig to claws into the back of his hands. He yelped in pain, tried to yank away, but she held on tight. The more he struggled against her, the more her claws tore through his skin.
Now it was her turn to hold the smug grin and glint in the eyes. She watched amused as he continued to thrash about, even though the sword in her torso moved violently in her, she didn’t bother to show that it distracted her slightly. She spoke nothing to him as she released some of her fire, black flames engulfed their hands and De-va then released her hold on him.
His eyes grew in size, his mouth opened to release painful screams that were hurtful to her ears. And while he burned to death, De-va brought her attention to the sword that penetrated her body. A frown stole her lips, knowing that if she pulled this sword from her only more blood would come pouring out.
Out of annoyance, she swung her sword at the burning demon, and the fire dissipated before it engulfed his head. Now that his arms were rendered useless, she approached the demon with light steps.
Her hands held tightly to the hilt of Zerimura, “this is mine, now.” She said softly, pressing her blade against his neck. She didn’t give him a chance to respond as she quickly swung her sword and took his head with her.
With the demon’s skin still under her nails, she fell to her knees. With one hand holding the head of her lord and the other at her feet, she fell to her side, unconscious.

If I could approve bios, then this would be in another section. If Redemption doesn't approve it, we'll judge her guilty and have her shot for treason
