Moral Alignment: (Good, Neutral, or Evil) Good by choice, Evil by chance
Occupation: Demon slayer in training
Alignment: (North, East, South, or West)
Appearance: (This must be at least 200 words.)
Kohaku has a finely sculpted face yet enhanced by the fullness of his cheeks as this young boy grows out of familiar childhood traits and into those known to a tween. His large eyes are of a vibrant chestnut brown, so full of life and effervescense of a child filled with beliefs and dreams undisturbed of unpleasantness. Noir tresses are cut into thick tendrils and brushed forward which spill messily onto his forehead as the rest is pulled towards the crown of his head and tucked neatly into a tie allowing the loose strands to flow yet remain hidden behind his head. Across the tiny nose of Kohaku, freckles are sprinkled sporadically from one cheek to the other across the bridge of his nose.
Kohaku stands at height unusual for a boy of his age although fitting for the type of training he is enduring. His height is met with very slender limbs giving him difficulty at times when muscle is needed to achieve something required of him. His shoulders fall into a downward slope, awaiting the proper training to allow for broad shoulders as his father once adorned. Kohaku, like many of those within his village, prefer to walk barefoot without the troubles of being slowed down by unnecessary equipment such as shoes and such. Kohaku wears a simple kimono of a gray blue color and short in length. The kimono rests onto his shoulders, crossing over his body on the left side as a traditional kimono would, tied at the waist with a thin belt. The sleeves of the kimono falling just past his shoulders and widen without constriction.
During battle, Kohaku wears the traditional uniform of the demon slayer. Fitting pants black in color which reach his ankles, covered by a cloth fitting over his feet and just past his ankles, tied with a ribbon turquoise in color from the bottom of his feet. His knees, pelvic area, elbows and shoulders guarded with a rounded shield of which is a golden yellow color. The shields held in place with the same turquoise ribbon as the one at his feet. His collar is that of a traditional japanese design, standing at this neck with frog enclosures along his right side, stopping just after the shoulder.
Personality: (This must be at least 200 words.)
Kohaku is a very sweet, pacifist young man that is well known and respected not only by many within his village but most importantly by the person that matters the most to him, his sister Sango. Kohaku is very introverted and is rarely seen traveling on his own or socializing with others in the village without being accompanied by his sister or another individual he is quite comfortable with. Most conversations taking place with Kohaku will cause him to be uncomfortably silent or blush in embarassment because of his shy nature.
When he does open up and become comfortable enough, he carries a smile that is radiant and pure, without any trace of sarcasm or falsehood. He enjoys to laugh as well as to try to make others laugh especially Sango's pet kitsune which he is also fond of.
He tries very hard to please, especially his father, the sole person which changed his mind about not following the family tradition of demon slaying, believing he would be a disgrace to his father for not following suit and living up to his fathers grace and potential. Although he did much to please his father, it was not much that could be done about his inexperience as a demon slayer and fighter that could change his fathers' mind about his son following into his footsteps.
Sadly, as his mind became unclear and his thoughts clouded, he became like that of a perfect soldier despite his inexperience with fighting skills, with the ability to sucessfully carry out the commands given without question or second thought even if they defied his inner beliefs, and there was few that would stand in his way with this understanding.

The night of June 11th would be a day remembered in both celebration and grief as the village praised the birth of the future okashira, Kohaku, yet grieved over the loss of a respected woman of the same relation, his mother. In Kohaku's unfortunately short life, he would never meet his mother who gave the ultimate sacrifice and passed away as she gave birth to her beloved son.
Growing up, he grew very close and dependent on his sister, being the only "mother" figure in his life, a role she fulfilled quite well as there was nothing she wouldnt do for her little brother. There was a distant strain between father and son due to the emphasis on Kohaku's future and his lack of willingness to fulfil the role and take it as seriously as his father wished. By his father's rule, Kohaku was to train diligently daily from sunrise to sunset, a task which Kohaku found difficult, choosing to instead live his life as a child and perhaps give some time to practicing alongside his sister, who had proven herself to be a prodigy yet unable to recieve the title of okashira because she is a female.
At age 11, Kohaku is told by his father that he is well old enough to go on the taiji-ya's missions and experience a real battle. During battle, Kohaku is seen using his kusari-gama and perfectly destroys his target. Nervously, Kohaku asks his sister if youkai really do spit fire and venom. She replies "sometimes" and asks him if he is scared, and Kohaku says he isn't ... really. Comforting him, Sango tells Kohaku there is no reason to be scared. Most of the youkai they destoy, she says, are giant spiders or snakes. Sango continues, telling Kohaku that the most fearsome youkai are the ones in human form.
Late that night, a small group of the village's best taiji-ya arrive at the Hitomijo castle, summoned to the castle because a large spider ogre has been devouring the inhabitants. The lord of the castle, however, in unimpressed when he sees the taiji-ya arrive. The group's leader assures the lord that all in his party are extremely adapt at what they do. However, Kohaku is shaken by his words, unknowing that they are lies. The taiji-ya surround the beast and quickly have it pinned down, ready for the final strike. But Sango becomes suspicious. As the group begins to administer the final blow, something goes horribly wrong. Sango is interrupted in her thoughts as she stares in horror as her father is impaled in the neck, and soon falls dead in a pool of his own blood. In shock, she watches the massacre that ensues as one by one, the other taiji-ya are slain until the siblings are the only ones left alive. The lord rather calmly sips his drink while watching the event. He is surprisingly unfazed by what is happening, much to the distress of his guards.
Sango soon realizes that it is her own brother who is responsible for killing everyone, including their own father. Kohaku aims his weapon and strikes at Sango, barely missing her face. The guards try to calm the boy, but the lord tells them not to interfere - this event is amusing to him. Kohaku continues his attack and rushes towards Sango, engaging her in battle. Sango easily repels his weapon, but he does not stop. While holding him off, Sango notices that a small spider has latched onto Kohaku's neck. Silk originating from the spider finds it way right back to the castle lord. She pushes Kohaku aside and quickly heads towards the demon-possessed lord, but she is unable to reach him after being struck in the back by a sharp object.
Kohaku has impaled her with the kusari-gama. As Sango stands in shock, she watches her brother fall to the ground shaking, finally free from the manipulation. Tears begin streaming from his eyes as he races towards his beloved sister, but before making it to her, he is struck down by the guard's arrows. The "lord" has finally tired of his "game", and orders his guards to kill the siblings. He insists the two have gone mad and that their misery must be ended now. Sango slowly makes her way towards her fallen brother. She begins to comfort him, but Sango is soon impaled in the back by a spear. "Ah ... peace in the family" the youkai says, "How heart-warming ..." Much to the surpise of the guards, the lord's son slices his father's head clear off. He tells them to look closely, for this was not his father, but a youkai instead.
Kohaku did, in fact, die that night at Hitomijo castle, yet fate would have it that the boy would not remain dead. Naraku returns Kohaku's life by placing a shard of the Shikon jewel into his back. Should the shard be removed, he would die on the spot. But Kohaku was revived not because of pity or compassion, but because Naraku could use Kohaku's life as a way to manipulate Sango, who by this point had joined with InuYasha and his other friends. In order to keep Kohaku under his control, Naraku erases all his past memories. He no longer remembers who Sango is, nor where he came from. Kohaku is but a tool to be disposed of when Naraku deems the time is right.

The night sky above twinkled with brilliance as the moon rose high into the royal blue waves, awakening the stars sprinkled across its blanket, a rare sight of which Kohaku rarely had the opportunity to surrender himself to. This serene calmness became a reliable source to place the young man into a peaceful sleep, freeing his mind of the unthinkable promises delivered to he who held his life within his grasp as well as the uncertain path of promise to his sister. Five months, 4 weeks, and 9 days seemed an eternity yet the numbers had more significance than the numbers itself. The memories, would slip nightly into his mind in the form of dreams during sleep, some of which were not understandable to the young man, yet the pieces remained within his subconscious, never to be forgotten despite his best efforts or those of the one he served, surpressed until sense could be made of these thoughts.
