Professor Charles Xavier. Jean Grey. Scott Summers. Three prominent figures known to have died in the final stand. A battle that decided the fate of humans and mutants alike. A fight that changed the lives of everyone and took the lives of others.
But are they really?
Scott Summers' body was never found…it was only believed that Jean's telekinetic powers disintegrated him into nothingness. Remember Professor Xavier's lecture on the moral implications of mind transfer? Not to mention Jean…has shown signs unlike any other…A vivid view to the next step of human evolution.

"Nah, it ain't possible. Je-she died that day…I know because I'm reminded of it every moment of my miserable life!"
"But Logan! We can't just turn a blind eye on the signs! Surely you see the likeness. They have the same powers, she looks exactly the way Jean did when she was younger."
"But…phoenix? Tch…there's no such thing. There couldn't be other beings with the power to-to…"
"You're forgetting something. We're mutants…to humans... we are the other beings. But here we are, in the flesh. So if we can exist…then why can't this?"
"She's…alive…."___________________________________________
"He's…he's gaining consciousness! Call Doctor Danvers!"
"Where am I? …who am I?"
"You're in a hospital here in Texas…you were found and presumed dead. Your name is…"
"Scott…I remember now…Jean? Is that you?"___________________________________________
The CURE. An anti-genome serum believed to cure the mutant gene.
Dr. Hank McCoy has previously noted that the cure contained Leech's DNA strain. An injection of the drug would release Leech's white blood cells into the system of a mutant, and these cells would start to destroy the mutant gene itself permanently.
That's what it was believed to do. But as cells eventually die, the injected white blood cells soon deteriorate, thus it's effects eventually ceasing. And now the mutants are back...
As a form of defense, Sentinels, colossal robots are deployed to seek and contain unregistered mutants. Appearances of Sentinels has been on the uprise. Kids being pulled from their homes, new mutants being plagued by the mechanized monstrosities. Even the older mutants, the ones with battle experience under their belts, are finding themselves whisked away by these giants - to destinations unknown.
The dead are coming back to life, and rivals are regaining their former glory. New factions are being formed and alliances are being forged. With Magneto back and plotting another quest for world domination…who will you stand against? Whose side will you choose?
The X-Men may have won the battle…but the war is just beginning. Choose your enemies. Rally your allies. Who will you be?
