Amaya felt one spirit dissipate while the others held. She allowed the others go as she picked up Kenkon as Ryu charged at her. She dodged one, two, three swings from Ryu; but he managed to nick her armor. Finally, he stopped, and Amaya wondered why.
"Because I have seen what has happened when it becomes corrupt," Amaya said. "You look to be too young to know what happened when Naraku took it."

"Thats true I've never seen the jewel corrupt, but how would i corrupt? All I'm trying to do is follow my father's footsteps, and that jewel will allow me to. Besides I'm not Naraku, I'm not even evil, I'm just a half demon wanting to be a full demon."

Amaya could feel Kenkon was heavy, due to the power she had used from its heaven powers to call forth the spirits. So, she stabbed it into the earth where she stood; a clear sign that she was unarmed.
"What will happen once you get it, after striking Kagome down, and it is slowly corrupted? And don't think for a second you could go to any Konjou youkai to purify it; cuz it won't work like that."

Ryu sheathed both of his words, "I would use the jewel right away. I would become a demon and it won't be corrupted. An I have a question, why don't you want it? You certainly need it for something you want to fix or to make yourself more powerful."

She had to admit though that the peace was disturbed almost immediately. That was always the greatest thing in the world to happen. She couldn’t ever be alone without being attacked her. It was times like these that she would call out to Inuyasha and even miss her family. Of course she was scared whenever she was attacked by a demon. She really was very powerless when it seemed to come to things like these. She sighed slightly as her gaze went upon the two people before her who certainly were not humans.
She felt a bit of trepidation fill her as she just listened to them and watched them carefully. Why was she always the scared on moments like these. It just wasn’t fair. And what really wasn’t fair was that she was the one who was always being attacked. She couldn’t complain though. She was the one who was Kikyo’s reincarnation. She was the one who carried the Shikon Jewel with her, so in reality, she could only blame herself for these problems. Though she had to feel pity for herself. It annoyed her how bad things always tended to happen to her. “Hey, I don’t understand why you seem to want the jewel, but you sure aren’t getting it,” retorted Kagome, now sounding a bit defiant. That certainly was not the smartest move for her. She tended to do and say things that she regretted, and maybe this would be one of them. She wondered though just how angry they could get over a few words by one mere girl.

Amaya had only heard of what happened, so what she did know may or may not be right. And so far, Amaya wasn't angry at what Kagome said; after all it was the youkai coming to the rescue, not the other way around.

Ryu looked at Kagome "because I want to become a full demon." He looked back at Amaya, "How would you know your whish wouldn't come true. Let mee guess, you would wish for someone dead to come back to life. If that is what you want then it can happen, if you believe in reincarnation."

Amaya knew it was a risk even without it. Konjou youkai know that dealing with bringing the dead back to full living, breathing life, it could mean trouble. But would being a Konjou youkai herself, would Amaya's wish on the Jewel be twisted some way due to her powers?
